New Day, New Me

Published on January 25, 2015

I recently joined a Facebook group led by my cousin-in-law called “New Day, New You.”

Its purpose: This group provides health and fitness support and accountability. We share updates, information, joys, and challenges. We take each day and do the best we can to better ourselves and support one another on our journeys. We celebrate one another’s successes, empathize with the challenges, and uplift one another no matter what our situation might be. Through this group, you will learn more about exercise, nutrition, and various Beachbody programs. Most importantly, we share our goals and support one another in achieving them.

Another way to hold myself accountable, which has not been successful recently, since I’m trying to do stuff on my own. I really feel (now) that joining a group will help you accomplish your goals. I have this guilt feeling…like…always. Like when I joined the various dance classes for the past few years, I would feel super guilty when I couldn’t make it. Being with those group of girls really forced me to keep on going, despite me making excuses on why I didn’t want to go. Other than going because it’s fun, sometimes my laziness would outweigh my desire to dance. But again, being with those girls outweigh my laziness. Maybe also the tuition…

It was different with my Zumba classes. The attendance wasn’t consistent. So I wasn’t as motivated.

I love dancing, but…yeah…

I ordered the 21 Day Fix and Shakeology® Challenge Pack. I’m actually very excited. I’ve joined several weight loss programs like Weight Watchers and Nutrisystem, but this group seems more tangible. Like my dance classes. I’m hoping for success. I’ll let you know how this goes.

In other news, I finished the Mara Dyer Trilogy. My take on it to come…
