I recently joined a Facebook group led by my cousin-in-law called “New Day, New You.”
Its purpose: This group provides health and fitness support and accountability. We share updates, information, joys, and challenges. We take each day and do the best we can to better ourselves and support one another on our journeys. We celebrate one another’s successes, empathize with the challenges, and uplift one another no matter what our situation might be. Through this group, you will learn more about exercise, nutrition, and various Beachbody programs. Most importantly, we share our goals and support one another in achieving them.

Sometimes I think resolutions should be made in February. This way you really have time to think about what you want to accomplish for the year. The year ends with so many celebrations that I haven’t had time to think about what happens after. Mostly what I’ll do when work starts back up again but if I think about what I want to accomplish, it’s mostly how much sleep I want to get (which is important too). I need to focus on myself and wellbeing, but also take things one step at a time. My expectation was that I can accomplish anything but I can’t start that without taking care of myself first.
At this point I’m just ranting…

The end of the fall semester means the beginning of a spring one. I’ve been busy.
Here’s a picture of my sister, me, and Dodger (the doggie).

At the start of the new year, our family lost a dear family friend. I can say I wasn’t as close with the family as we would’ve liked to be, but when we were all together for whatever gatherings, Tito Cesar was always happy and the life of the party. He was always so glad to see me and my sister and always ask how we were. He seemed to keep track of what we were doing, because he would bring it up whenever we would see him next. He was so full of life.
